Zach Charbonnet Designated to Return to Practice
The running back can practice for 21 days before Seattle must add him to the 53-man roster or keep him on the physically unable to perform list.
On Thursday, the Seattle Seahawks designated running back Zach Charbonnet to return to practice, opening a 21-day window to evaluate his recovery from a torn ACL.
Charbonnet began the 2026 season on the physically unable to perform list after undergoing surgery for an injury sustained during the NFC Divisional Round victory over the San Francisco 49ers in January.
Seattle's backfield has struggled with inconsistent production, as rookie Jadarian Price has lost a fumble in each of the past two weeks while sharing duties with Emanuel Wilson.
Despite the designation, Charbonnet remains ineligible for Sunday's Week 4 matchup against the Los Angeles Chargers, with his earliest possible return coming in Week 5 against the San Francisco 49ers.
Team officials must decide within three weeks whether to elevate him to the 53-man roster or keep him on the PUP list, which would end his 2026 campaign.
