ABC officially renewed the Scrubs revival for a second season, confirming the comedy will return as part of the fall lineup.
The revival premiere garnered 11.36 million viewers across platforms over five days and ranked as the top comedy telecast among adults in the 18-49 demo with a 0.74 rating over three days.
Returning cast members include Zach Braff, Donald Faison, Sarah Chalke, Judy Reyes, John McGinley, Vanessa Bayer, David Gridley, Ava Bunn, Jacob Dudman, Amanda Morrow, and Layla Mohammadi, airing Wednesdays at 8/7c.
Season 2 continues the story following the first season finale, where Cox received an autoimmune disease diagnosis, creating uncertainty for his health journey.
The show's performance marks the best comedy debut for ABC in over a year, surpassing the premiere of Shifting Gears from January 2025.
The first season of the Scrubs revival is too short for you? Don't worry: more new episodes are coming this year, because the next season won't be long.
