Scottsdale nonprofit helps swamped animal shelters

Summary by Ground News
Maricopa County Animal Care and Control West Valley Animal Care Center has more than 100 dogs over capacity. Large dog breeds, especially huskies, German Shepherds and pit bulls, are overwhelming the county's only two shelters. Pet size and breed restrictions at rented residences across the area may be one reason behind this increase.
