Scotland Midfielder Ryan Christie Extends Bournemouth Contract by 3 Years
Scotland midfielder Ryan Christie has made 177 appearances for Bournemouth and helped the club qualify for European competition.
On Saturday, AFC Bournemouth announced Scotland midfielder Ryan Christie signed a three-year contract extension through the 2028-29 season, committing the 31-year-old to the Premier League club.
Since joining from Celtic in 2021, Christie has made 177 appearances and flourished under manager Andoni Iraola, particularly during the record-breaking 2024/25 season when he earned player-of-the-season honors.
Christie recorded 26 Premier League appearances last season, scoring against Crystal Palace and Manchester United to help the Cherries finish sixth—their best-ever finish and securing European qualification.
Tiago Pinto, AFC Bournemouth's head of football operations, praised Christie as "a key part of the leadership group" who has "consistently shown his value to the team through his performances, experience and commitment."
With Scotland back in the FIFA World Cup for the first time in 28 years, Christie signed the extension ahead of the team's opening match against Haiti in Massachusetts on Saturday night.
