Schönbrunn Zoo presents toad project

Schönbrunn Zoo is planning to create 300 small bodies of water for toads and other species throughout Austria. The zoo announced this on Thursday. This involves creating pond bowls in private gardens and inspecting them for two years. “As a result of the loss of their natural habitat, more and more animals are dependent on refuges in populated areas,” said Tiergarten Director Stephan Hering-Hagenbeck.
