In six months, Polish services have checked nearly 1.3 million people at border crossings with Germany and Lithuania. The checks will continue until Germany withdraws from checking people arriving from Poland, according to Rzeczpospolita.

The controls introduced in July 2025 at the border with Germany have been extended for the third time by the Polish Government, which will apply for a further six months from Easter Sunday.
