Sarah Heffernan becomes 3rd woman to achieve sergeant rank in Billerica Police Department

BILLERICA — School Resource Officer Sarah Heffernan has been promoted to the rank of sergeant, becoming just the third woman in Billerica Police Department history to hold the title. An 11-year veteran of the force, Heffernan is a Billerica native and a graduate of Billerica Memorial High School.
