The suspects arrested early Saturday morning are part of a growing national crime problem that can lead to power outages and other service disruptions.
A man and a woman were arrested on Saturday suspected of stealing copper wires in San Jose. Police reported that officers patrolled the San Felipe Road and Meadowlands Lane area when they found a man hiding in the bush after allegedly cutting off aerial telephone cables.
