Samsung Unveils AI-Powered Health Assistant
The beta tool pulls data from Galaxy devices and will not provide medical advice or treatment recommendations, Samsung said.
- On Tuesday, Samsung released a beta version of its AI-powered Health Assistant, now available for "eligible US users" within the Samsung Health app.
- The tool integrates Samsung Health's "five core pillars of wellness"—sleep, activity, nutrition, mindfulness, and vitals—to explain how each variable influences the others and identify overlooked patterns.
- Utilizing the Personal Data Engine, the assistant provides "highly personalized responses that are sensitive to a user's schedule and preferences," with recommendations validated by physicians and health coaches.
- Dr. Hon Pak, senior vice president of the Digital Health Team, said the tool "advances Samsung's vision for Connected Care," positioning the company against Google's Gemini-based Health Coach.
- Future updates will "explore coaching to help users achieve their goals through behavior change and a wider set of services available in Samsung Health," including weight management.
