Salmon Arm RCMP intervene as senior in process of being scammed a second time

Police stopped the man from depositing $20,000 after scammers claimed they could recover bitcoins he had already lost, officials said.

A witness and the police helped a senior from being scammed out of $20,000. At 3 p.m. on April 28, Salmon Arm RCMP received a call from a woman regarding an elderly man attempting to use a Bitcoin ATM on Hudson Avenue NE. Police were told the man was receiving instructions over the phone.
