Salah heads Egypt World Cup squad, teen talent Abdel Karim earns call-Up
Coach Hossam Hassan kept Mohamed Salah as captain and added 18-year-old Hamza Abdel Karim to a squad that includes Omar Marmoush.
On Saturday, coach Hossam Hassan announced Egypt's final squad for the 2026 World Cup, featuring Liverpool winger Mohamed Salah as the team's leader.
The roster featured few surprises, notably the inclusion of 18-year-old forward Hamza Abdel Karim, currently on loan from Al Ahly to Barcelona Atletic.
Spearheading the attack is Manchester City forward Omar Marmoush, who scored eight goals in 36 appearances for his club this season.
A final friendly match against Brazil is scheduled for June 6 in Ohio as part of the team's tournament preparations.
Egypt begins their World Cup campaign on June 15 in Seattle against Belgium, competing in Group G alongside New Zealand and Iran.
