A 28-year-old man died yesterday in Saint-Jean-de-Luz, on the Lafitene beach (Lapurdi). He had a heart attack while surfing and was pulled out of the water by other surfers. Emergency services arrived at the scene, but were unable to revive the surfer. The accident occurred around 4:00 p.m. The cause of the heart attack is under investigation.
