The budget carrier reported pre-tax profits of 1.78 billion euros (£1.5 billion) for the year to March 31, down from 2.13 billion euros (£1.79 billion).

The airline's CEO, Michael O'Leary, announced the price increase for this summer. Ryanair reported 16% lower profits in its fiscal year, at €1.61 billion.
