Ryan Vilade Homer Lifts Rays Past Blue Jays
On Monday, the Tampa Bay Rays defeated the Toronto Blue Jays 5-1, powered by Ryan Vilade's three-run home run in the first inning. Vilade launched the first pitch 413 feet to give Tampa Bay an immediate 3-0 lead.

The victory extended Tampa Bay's winning streak to four consecutive games and marks their 10th win in the last 11 contests. Toronto fell to 6-11 on the road this season and 4-8 in series openers.
Toronto RHP Kevin Gausman is scheduled to start Tuesday against Rays RHP Drew Rasmussen. Gausman leads current Blue Jays pitchers with 26 career games against Tampa Bay.
