Rutgers Cancer Institute and RWJBarnabas Health to Highlight Advances Shaping the Future of Cancer Research at the 2026 ASCO Annual Meeting
The health system and cancer institute will present 39 peer-reviewed abstracts, including one late-breaking study and multiple oral and poster sessions.
Rutgers Cancer Institute and RWJBarnabas Health will present 39 peer-reviewed scientific abstracts at the 2026 American Society of Clinical Oncology Annual Meeting in Chicago, running May 29 through June 2.
The partnership between Rutgers Cancer Institute and RWJBarnabas Health reflects a health system employing more than 45,000 people and contributing more than $7 billion annually to the New Jersey economy.
Steven K. Libutti, William N. Hait Director of Rutgers Cancer Institute and Senior Vice President of Oncology Services at RWJBarnabas Health, stated, "Advances in cancer care are increasingly defined by how effectively we can translate scientific discovery into meaningful impact for patients."
Highlights include I-SPY 2.2 trial results for high-risk HER2-negative breast cancer scheduled for June 1 presentation and OLYMPIA-3 findings on odronextamab plus chemotherapy for diffuse large B-cell lymphoma.
Integrating these research breakthroughs, the system's 14 hospitals and 9,000 affiliated physicians provide care for more than 5 million people annually across New Jersey, translating discovery into patient benefit.
