Russian Earthquake Rattles Devil's Hole, Home of Rarest Fish in the World

NEVADA'S DEATH VALLEY, AUG 1 – The earthquake shook the habitat of the endangered Devils Hole pupfish, which numbers only 38, raising hopes for increased spawning after environmental disturbance, National Park Service said.

LAS VEGAS (KLAS) -- The 8.8 earthquake Russia triggered waves nearly 4,000 miles away in Death Valley National Park, according to the National Park Service. Devils Hole, a water-filled cave around 500 feet deep in the Amargosa Desert, nearly 90 miles northwest of Las Vegas, is home to the rare pupfish.
