Russia has test-fired an intercontinental ballistic missile (ICBM) as part of a strategic missile force exercise. The missile was launched from the Plesetsk space base in northern Russia toward the Kura test range on the Kamchatka Peninsula, just days after the head of the US Central Intelligence Agency (CIA) visited Moscow.

Russia launched a solid-fuel intercontinental ballistic missile in Plesetska, written by MWM, the purpose of which was to confirm tactical, technical and flight characteristics. Moscow has the world ' s largest ground-based IDB arsenal, notes a publication.

It is a missile that can fly almost 12,000 kilometers and hit a target with a deviation of only 150 meters. If it had hit the center of Prague, for example, it would have claimed about 180,000 lives – the Yars intercontinental ballistic missile. With its test, Moscow is primarily sending a message to the West.
