Ukrainian forces also hit a refinery in Tatarstan as Russia said it intercepted 456 drones overnight and denied any ceasefire freeze.

  • On Aug. 10, Major General Vadym Skibitskyi of Ukraine's military intelligence revealed Russia's monthly missile production is exceeding targets, with 87 Kh-101 cruise missiles produced in July, reaching 140% of planned output.

  • Russia is also accelerating deployment of its Rassvet satellite communications system, an analogue to Starlink, faster than planned, with plans to expand the constellation to 924 satellites by 2035, Skibitskyi reported.
  • Ukrainian forces struck the Tobolskneftekhim petrochemical plant and a Tatarstan oil refinery on Aug. 10, causing fires, while Russia claimed its air defenses intercepted 456 drones across 16 regions.
  • Russian Deputy Foreign Minister Mikhail Galuzin ruled out "freezing" the war on Aug. 10, telling TASS that no peace is possible without addressing "root causes" and criticizing ongoing weapons deliveries from Washington.
