Russia has secured oil tankers in the Baltic: the Swedish Navy noticed how: EADaily
EADaily, December 17th, 2025. The Russian Fleet is guarding tankers that transport oil, the Swedish Navy said. According to them, armed guards have appeared on the ships, and Russian military ships are stationed in special zones of the Gulf of Finland, the Baltic and North Seas to monitor shipping.
Russia has recently increased its military surveillance of the Baltic Sea, presumably to protect so-called shadow fleet tankers, and has also probably deployed military personnel aboard some of them.
