Rupee breaches 91/USD mark 2nd time in a month, ends 14 paise lower
The rupee breached the 91-a-dollar mark for the second time in a month before ending 14 paise down at 90.92 (provisional) against the greenback on Monday, as renewed concerns over global trade uncertainties accelerated foreign fund withdrawal.
The rupiah exchange rate against the US dollar closed lower at the end of trading on Monday (19/1/2026), falling 68 points or around 0.40 percent to Rp16,955 per US dollar.
The rupiah exchange rate today (January 19) nearly touched Rp 17,000 per US dollar. Global sentiment remains the driving force.
