According to the latest World Bank data, Kosovo ranks first with 17.3% of GDP in terms of remittances sent by workers abroad to their home countries. Georgia follows with 11.9%, while Moldova and Montenegro share the next positions with 10.5%. In Turkey, however, the ratio of remittances sent by workers abroad to GDP is recorded at only 0.1%.
