Roughriders Re-Sign Offensive Lineman Payton Collins to One-Year Extension
Payton Collins gets a one-year extension after starting 29 games and helping Saskatchewan win the Grey Cup.
On Tuesday, the Saskatchewan Roughriders signed American offensive lineman Payton Collins to a one-year contract extension, the CFL club announced.
Collins joined the Riders in May 2025, earning the starting left tackle position as a rookie and helping the team capture the 112th Grey Cup.
His blocking helped quarterback Trevor Harris lead the CFL with 5,370 passing yards and enabled Tommy Stevens to set a league record with 17 rushing touchdowns.
The 25-year-old from Columbus, Ohio, has proven reliable, starting all 29 regular-season games played over two seasons and totaling 1,826 snaps.
Before his professional career, the 6-foot-7, 301-pound lineman spent six collegiate seasons at Eastern Kentucky, setting a program record with 56 consecutive starts.
