The Rolling Stones’ ‘Foreign Tongues’ Features an Amy Winehouse Cover
The 14-track LP features contributions from Paul McCartney, Steve Winwood and Robert Smith, and follows two advance singles.
- The Rolling Stones will release their 25th studio album, Foreign Tongues, on July 10, with guitarist Ronnie Wood promoting the project on The Tonight Show this past Thursday.
- Ahead of the July release, the 14-track LP features contributions from Paul McCartney, Steve Winwood, and Robert Smith, with the band having already unveiled two tracks: 'Rough' and 'Twisted' and 'Stars'.
- Wood told Jimmy Fallon he recorded a solo while mourning Brian Wilson and Sly Stone, describing the creative process: "The guitar played itself."
- Foreign Tongues includes a cover of a song by the late The Rehab singer, whom Wood previously performed with at the 2007 Isle of Wight Festival.
- Wood will embark on his first solo tour in 16 years this summer, performing across the United Kingdom and Continental Europe.
