Robert Pattinson Insists He Worked Out Every Day for The Batman, Blames Lukewarm Reception to His Superhero Body on Comments He Made in Interviews
Pattinson said he installed a home gym and trained twice a day after some fans criticized his Batman physique.
Actor Robert Pattinson revealed he installed a home gym to build muscle for The Batman: Part II, which hits theaters on October 1, 2027, five-and-a-half years after the first film.
Fans previously criticized Pattinson's physique in 2022's The Batman, a reception the actor blamed on past interviews where he called exercise 'uncool' and claimed he wasn't taking the role seriously.
Defending his preparation, Pattinson insisted he exercised twice daily at 3 a.m. for the first film, telling GQ magazine, 'I worked out every fucking day,' despite the unfair reputation.
Training for the sequel may be easier than his experience on Christopher Nolan's The Odyssey, which Pattinson described as one of his most exhausting sets ever worked on.
Director Matt Reeves recently teased production by sharing a photo of the Batmobile racing down a snowy street, while Pattinson noted a stunt performer mentioned '11 weeks of nights' for filming.
The actor will return to the skin of DC’s superhero in the sequel to ‘The Batman’, after which he claims to have received comments from followers outraged by his seemingly puny appearance
