A plane from the new company Riyadh Air landed on Wednesday from the Saudi capital Riyadh in London. The airline is scheduled to fly from Riyadh to Manchester, Madrid, Cairo and Dubai next to London, as well as the Saudi coastal city of Jeddah.
Riyadh Air has started its first flight to London-Heathrow with a Boeing 787. CEO Tony Douglas plays down the impact of the Iran conflict and even sees opportunities in crisis for the new Saudi airline.
