The River Plate announced on Tuesday that the Spanish executive Pablo Longoria will assume the position of new sports director of the club. Longoria, who previously served as president of the Olympique de Marseille, in France, will have "responsibility for the professional football project of the club", according to a statement published on the River Plate website.
