The media group Ringier is breaking down 14 jobs in Lausanne, including six journalists' posts. The reason for this is the drop in print and advertising revenues.
The editor Ringier ("Blick", "L'illustre") will remove 14 posts in French-speaking Switzerland as part of the "adaptation of his organisation on his site in Lausanne", he announced on Wednesday. He intends to "strengthen collaboration" with his German titles by "more based on common technologies and infrastructures".
The media house is decommissioning at the Lausanne site and six of the affected agencies are editorial. Thierry Vial, editor-in-chief of the business magazine PME, also leaves the company. His successor is still open.
