The government has decided to check whether there are any grounds for revoking citizenship for Russian citizens who have acquired Slovenian citizenship through extraordinary naturalization since 2015. The decision was made due to Russia's aggression against Ukraine, they announced.
Among the aforementioned 93 Russians who have Slovenian citizenship is Viktorija Krivolutska, a friend of the President of the Republic, Nataša Pirc Musar.

The government today decided that the Slovenian Police, the Slovenian Immigration Service and the police will check the possible existence of grounds for revoking citizenship for Russian citizens who have acquired Slovenian citizenship through extraordinary naturalization since 2015. The decision was made due to Russia's long-term aggression against Ukraine and the sanctions adopted, according to a statement after the government session.
