The province of Overijssel has imposed a restriction on freight traffic on the Zwartewaterbrug near Hasselt, north of Zwolle. According to the province, there is an increased risk of damage to the bridge, which has been in use since 1972, due to wear and tear. Overijssel wants to build a new bridge in a few years, but until then, traffic heavier than 45 tons is not allowed to drive over the Zwartewaterbrug.
