According to a letter from the liaison office of the federal states at the Styria Provincial Government, an "amendment to the existing uniform position paper from the federal states" could not be achieved.
Despite the initiative of the SP-governed federal states of Vienna and Carinthia, the federal states' blockade of the EU Restoration Act appears to be maintained until further notice. “In view of the rejection notified by seven countries, there was no amendment to the existing uniform country opinion (..) on the proposal for a regulation on the 'restoration of nature',” it said in a letter to the state governors on Tuesday.
