Residents in a Lancashire town have been evacuated from their homes this afternoon after a mains gas leak, as a ‘hissing’ sound has been heard. Hundreds of households in the area of Chapels and Goose House Lane were told to leave their homes this afternoon at around 2pm due to the gas leak which has come from the mains.
