Report: Vikings to sign Odell Beckham Jr. to 53-man roster
Odell Beckham Jr. is set for his Vikings debut after a month on the practice squad, giving Minnesota an extra receiver for a 6-1 matchup.
On Sunday, the Minnesota Vikings signed wide receiver Odell Beckham to the 53-man roster, clearing the way for his Monday Night Football debut against the Buffalo Bills.
Beckham, who turned 34 on Nov. 5, joined the Vikings' practice squad on Oct. 7, about a week after the New York Giants released him.
Vikings head coach Kevin O'Connell, who worked with Beckham on the Rams, added him to the active roster, though the team expects him to play a limited role after a long layoff.
The showdown at U.S. Bank Stadium features two 6-1 teams in primetime, with both organizations among the NFL's top performers despite dealing with injury problems.
Minnesota will be without quarterback Kyler Murray due to a hamstring injury and receiver Jauan Jennings, while quarterback Carson Wentz will start and the team must open a roster spot for Beckham.
