- At a press conference, Satheesan denied having influence over Meta and noted that a prior request to restore the CMO's Instagram account went unanswered for two months, while Home Minister Ramesh Chennithala denied making legal demands for content removal.
- Despite restoration, Satheesan expressed concern that "the arbitrary takedown of verified government communications ranging from festival greetings to welfare notices remains a serious concern," prompting demands for protective safeguards.
- Last month, Opposition Leader Pinarayi Vijayan and the Kerala Union of Working Journalists accused the United Democratic Front government of an "undeclared social media emergency" after Meta restricted content critical of the administration.
