Refugio council approves $1.6M tax levy, pay raises, groundwater monitoring

REFUGIO — The Refugio Town Council approved the certification of the 2026 tax levy, authorized pay raises for police and water department personnel, and voted to participate in a countywide groundwater monitoring program during its regular meeting Tuesday, Oct. 20.
