Agnieszka Rupniewska was elected mayor of Zabrze a year ago. Now she has been recalled in a referendum. "Since 1990, there has not been a case in Silesia where a mayor was recalled in a referendum, just one year after the local government elections," noted Jerzy Polaczek from PiS.
In Sunday's referendum, Zabrze residents decided to recall the current mayor, Agnieszka Rupniewska. This means that early elections will be necessary. The City Referendum Commission also announced that due to the low turnout, the vote on the recall of the city council is not binding.
Agnieszka Rupniewska was recalled from the position of mayor of Zabrze in a referendum. Rupniewska ran in last year's local elections with the support of the Civic Coalition. Opponents of the mayor of Zabrze explained why they wanted to recall her.
The residents of Zabrze decided in Sunday's referendum to recall the city's mayor, Agnieszka Rupniewska.
