The transfer of the robber, who had been in solitary confinement for more than 10 years, occurred one month after an appeal court had confirmed the decision of a judge ordering the administration to relax his conditions of detention.
The "King of the Beauty" left the high-security establishment of Vendin-le-Vieil in Pas-de-Calais for that of Condé-sur-Sarthe (Orne).
His transfer takes place one month after the sentence enforcement chamber of the Douai (North) Court of Appeal found his conditions of detention "contrary to human dignity".
