Several huge bluefin tuna, some weighing more than 300 kilos, have washed ashore on beaches in Torrevieja and Pilar de la Horadada, raising questions over possible losses from offshore fish-farming operations. Three specimens of tuna appeared this Saturday adrift and ended up stranded in different points of the coast of Torrevieja. The municipal services removed them in the cove of the Palangre, the area of the beach of Los Locos, a few hundred meters from the first, and another specimen in the surroundings of the Paseo Juan Aparicio, according to the City Council through the Council of Beaches and Environment.
