Nursing Pillows Sold on Amazon Recalled over Suffocation Risk
The agency said the pillows fail safety standards and could block a baby’s breathing, with no injuries reported so far.
The Consumer Product Safety Commission announced a recall of more than 25,000 Pillani nursing pillows sold on Amazon because the products violate mandatory safety standards.
Safety concerns from the CPSC include a suffocation risk posed by the U-shaped pillows, which may obstruct a child's ability to breathe during use.
Model NP4351 units with batch numbers 202604, 202605, and 202606 are affected by the recall; the pillows sold between $30 and $40 on Amazon.
Customers should contact Pillani to receive a full refund and must submit a photograph of the pillow to obtain disposal instructions.
No injuries have been reported regarding the recalled products. Owners should check the attached label for batch numbers and brand name to verify if their item is included.
