- After broadcast cameras caught the gesture, Real Madrid CF condemned the action, asked the disciplinary committee to initiate expulsion, and Real security immediately expelled the supporter before the match.
- The disciplinary ruling suspends the closure for a one-year probation, with UEFA's Control, Ethics and Disciplinary Committee saying the partial stadium closure will be enforced only on reoffence for racist and/or discriminatory behaviour.
