- The Department of Transportation , Light Rail Transit Authority , Rizal Commercial Banking Corporation , and Visa developed this interoperable 'open-loop' platform to modernize transit as part of the government's broader effort to introduce modern fare collection systems.
- Serving more than 160,000 passengers daily—over 58.7 million annually—the system streamlines fare collection. Visa estimates that open-loop contactless payments can increase public transport ridership by as much as 10 percent.
- RCBC is offering a PISO Fare Cashback Promo from July 13 to July 31 for eligible cardholders. Officials noted the system brings the Philippines closer to transit standards found in Singapore and Hong Kong.
