The Meteorological Service explained that the source of the dust clouds in the current wave is significant pressure differences between a deep depression in southern Europe, which brought with it winter weather and rain, and a high barometric level prevailing in our region. The combination of the systems created strong southerly winds that carried dust from the deserts of Libya and Egypt.
