Rapper Pooh Shiesty’s Trial Date Pushed Back to 2027
The Memphis rapper remains jailed while nine defendants face federal robbery and kidnapping charges tied to an alleged Dallas studio ambush.
The federal trial for Memphis rapper Pooh Shiesty, legally Lontrell Williams, was rescheduled for Feb. 22, 2027. Williams remains in custody at the District Court for the Northern District of Texas.
Prosecutors allege Williams and his co-defendants lured Atlanta rapper Gucci Mane, legally Radric Davis, to a Dallas Parkway studio, then kidnapped and robbed him at gunpoint to force a contract release.
Fellow Memphis artist Big30, whose legal name is Rodney Wright, faces charges alongside Williams's father, Lontrell Williams Sr. One victim reportedly had a chain stolen bearing '1017.'
Records show Williams remains behind bars as of Tuesday. The judge previously denied bond, citing his prior weapons conviction and unauthorized presence in Dallas at the time of the alleged offense.
Williams previously pleaded guilty to a firearms conspiracy charge tied to a Florida hotel shooting, receiving a 63-month sentence in April 2022. He was released from prison in October 2025 before these new charges arose.
