Raphael Lavoie Scores First NHL Goal as Golden Knights Sink Senators 4-1
Raphael Lavoie’s tap-in put Vegas ahead for good as the Golden Knights ended a three-game losing streak with three third-period goals.
On Tuesday, Raphael Lavoie scored his first career goal eight minutes into the third period, lifting the Vegas Golden Knights to a 4-1 victory over the Ottawa Senators in Las Vegas.
The victory ended a three-game losing streak for the Golden Knights, who benefited from a critical defensive play by goaltender Adin Hill during the second period.
Braeden Bowman scored on a power play while William Karlsson and Jack Eichel added empty-netters; Ottawa's Shane Pinto also scored on a power play during the third period.
Goaltender Jonas Johansson made 25 saves to secure the win, while fellow goalie Carter Hart remained sidelined after sustaining an undisclosed injury at the morning skate.
The Golden Knights host the New Jersey Devils on Friday, while the Senators travel to visit the Los Angeles Kings on Thursday.
