Rangers place Corey Seager back on 10-day IL with right hamstring strain
- The Texas Rangers placed Corey Seager back on the 10-day injured list on Tuesday due to a right hamstring strain sustained on April 22 against the Athletics.
- Seager initially returned from his first IL stint on May 3 after the minimum 10 days, but increasing soreness and ongoing effects led the Rangers to reactivate the IL status.
- Since returning, Seager played in only five of nine games and hit two home runs on Saturday while batting.300 with six homers across 26 games this season.
- Manager Bruce Bochy emphasized, “Now is the time to make sure we get him right,” adding they want Seager fully healed to avoid playing at 75 or 80 percent.
- Seager’s renewed absence further challenges the Rangers' struggling offense and suggests he may remain on the injured list beyond 10 days to ensure proper recovery.

Rangers Place Corey Seager On Injured List
The Rangers announced Tuesday that they’ve placed shortstop Corey Seager on the 10-day injured list. The move is retroactive to May 11. Seager is again dealing with a right hamstring strain — the same injury that sent him to the IL from April 23 to May 3. Catcher Kyle Higashioka has been reinstated from the 10-day IL in a corresponding move. He’d missed the previous 12 days with an intercostal strain. More to come.
