The Portuguese Government has made itself available to advance with a bilateral agreement for the construction of the international bridge over the Erges River, near the Termas de Monfortinho, Idanha-a-Nova, and with the cross-border link with Spain.
The Junta de Extremadura holds the project to extend the Ex-A1 from Moraleja to the Portuguese border until one of the main unknowns of this connection is cleared: the construction of the future international bridge over the river Erjas. The autonomous executive wants to accompany its deadlines with Portugal and avoid running a highway that could end for years on the border without continuity towards the neighboring country.
