Ram Temple Trust to get 1st CEO on Wednesday
The trust said the new post will strengthen administration and financial oversight after donation irregularities prompted a major restructuring.
On Wednesday, the Shri Ram Janmabhoomi Teerth Kshetra Trust appointed retired Air Marshal Jeetendra Mishra as its first full-time Chief Executive Officer during a meeting in Ayodhya.
The appointment addresses administrative gaps following the June 26 resignations of former general secretary Champat Rai and trustee Anil Mishra, which occurred after Uttar Pradesh Police registered a case over alleged donation irregularities.
A three-member search committee selected Mishra after screening 5,585 applications using a 600-mark evaluation framework, then conducted final in-person interviews with 16 candidates in Ayodhya on August 11 and 12.
Alongside Mishra's appointment, the Trust named Madan Mohan Pandey, Mahesh Bhagchandka, and Nirmala Yadav as new trustees to strengthen governance and expand the board's capacity during this administrative reshuffle.
Mishra brings over 38 years of Indian Air Force experience to the newly created post, tasked with modernizing temple administration and restoring public confidence after the alleged donation theft controversy.
