A rainy weather system coming from the Balkans will affect Turkey. Rain is expected to begin in Istanbul today and continue intermittently throughout next week. AKOM (Istanbul Metropolitan Municipality Disaster Coordination Center) announced that strong downpours are expected in some areas, and temperatures will decrease from Sunday onwards, falling below 20 degrees Celsius.
According to MGM's September 26th report, heavy rainfall will begin in the north and affect Thrace, northern Istanbul, and the Black Sea coast. Strong winds are expected in eastern Marmara and the northern Aegean.
