Train service in Tel Aviv suspended for a week; Hashalom station closed for now
In order to carry out safety work that was initially planned for September, Israel Railways announced that Tel Aviv's Hashalom station, the busiest in the country, will close until August 26, effectively cutting off transit between the north and south of the country. Buses will replace train connections between the city's functioning train stations
After Israel Railways' announcement of advancing infrastructure work and closing central stations in Tel Aviv - heavy congestion was recorded at the city's transportation terminals • Passengers tried to board buses at the Sovidor Central Station for more than an hour • One of the passengers on the N12: "The stations are packed with people, there is chaos here and there is no one managing the event"
