- The High Court granted the Union government four weeks to file counter affidavits on behalf of the DoPT, Ministry of Finance, Ministry of Corporate Affairs, and the Serious Fraud Investigation Office.
- A Supreme Court bench headed by Chief Justice Surya Kant and comprising Justices Joymalya Bagchi and V Mohana is scheduled to hear Gandhi's plea on August 17, while the High Court's next hearing is August 20.
