Rafael Navarro Brace Leads Rapids to Victory over Atlanta United
Rafael Navarro contributed three goal involvements as Colorado Rapids extended their unbeaten streak to 10 games with a 3-1 win over Atlanta United.
On Saturday night at Dick's Sporting Goods Park in Commerce City, Colorado Rapids defeated Atlanta United 3-1 in an MLS match.
The Rapids rebuilt momentum after a three-game winless streak and the recent departure of midfielder Djordje Mihailovic to Toronto.
Rafael Navarro scored a penalty in the 64th minute and capped the game with a first-touch goal in the 71st minute while also providing an assist to Darren Yapi.
Navarro has 11 goals this season, including two multi-goal games, and coach Chris Armas praised his scoring desire and team commitment.
The Rapids extended their unbeaten streak to 10 games, moved to seventh in the Western Conference, and showed growing team confidence despite Atlanta’s possession dominance.
